This is my fun project. Fixit, from Jean Greenhouse's booklet of Tradesmen Clowns. He was a lot of fun to make and took me approximately 3 weeks. If there are any knitters out there like me, I used yarn that wasn't really the same gauge as what was called for in the pattern. Materials are 100% cotton and from different companys such as Rowan, Estelle, Schoeller Stahl, and Bernat yarns. DK weights.
At first, I had a feeling that he was turning into a Leprechaun because of his green hat but with all the accessories, he does look like he's fixin' something.
I bought a lot of yarn balls during the boxing week special. The 'odd ball' bin was 50% off, so with yarn that was already reduced - it was a STEAL! Some balls only cost me $1.00
I will knit a few more clowns and dolls so he won't be lonely. For now, I've moved onto my February project: a shawl to die for! Alafoss Lopi in varigated blue, bulky weight. Pattern from the book Ponchos Wraps - a knitter's dozen.
